First Post

Why does it always seem like I will be able to get a hundred things done, yet I can only get a few? Maybe I'll add make pb+j to the to do list so I can cross it off. The summer always seems endless, I guess I'm lucky that my profession still allows me to feel the childish joy of "summer break." Of course, childhood summers were not full of potty training, crying fits, or endless requests for goldfish, spongebob, or birdies (Penguins of Madagascar). Not that I'm complaining, Cha-Cha (as she calls herself) is a doll, and I'm glad to spend the time with her. Not to mention that this summer is much easier than the first one after she was born...when we didn't have air conditioning.
Well, I'm off to school, yes that's right, I have to proctor an exam for an eighth grader (I teach seventh grade) who desperately needs help in French-and guess who knows French?

  1. I hear you Andrea, I love summer break. I am looking forward to watching my 3 year old granddaughter all summer. She will be watching sponge bob, madagascar, and getting stickers for using the potty. I am teaching her how to swim and taking her for horseback riding lessons. My soon to be 84 year old mom watches her during the school year. Mom will keep her once a week so I can do homework. See you in class.

  2. I can understand how the "to-do" list is long, but only a few things seem to get done! I have a long list of things I would like to get done this summer break- even if just a few get done I will be pretty happy! Look forward to getting to you better in class!

  3. I was just telling my sister how I always think I am going to be able to get so many home improvement projects done during the summer and ever seem to have time! You write so well, by the way! Do you enjoy/teach creative writing? You wrote about yourself in a very interesting, attention grabbing style! Enjoy any time you DO find this summer!
